Need somewhere to hang your hat? Why not roll up your sleeves and practice your woodworking skills before taking home an incredible piece of Toronto wood to hang on your wall. This workshop is designed around a similar set of skills developed in our board/coaster making workshop, but adds on dowel making and placement for hooks.
Participants start with a tour of our production space, learning about the life cycle of urban wood and how we take a Toronto tree from log to final product. Then, our Maker team will offer basic training on all equipment needed for this project and guide participants through what to expect. After that, it's time to get making! Choose your wood, and start shaping your coat rack, which can be up to 3 ft in length. Price includes a french cleat added to the back of each finished piece for an easy at-home install.
